Hello...

... and Happy Thursday! We've almost made it to the weekend! Finally.

My first class back at Stellaluna Yoga is tomorrow and I'm so excited to share this week's hip opening flow with you that I wanted to make sure you had all the details so you don't miss out!

Tomorrow we will move through a dynamic sequence focusing on hip flexibility & mobility and a little strength building thrown in! πŸ˜‰

But don't let that put you off! All of my classes are a great place to start if you are new or returning to yoga! I offer plenty of options so that you can be present and intentional as a reminder to listen to your body and what it needs in that moment - that might be returning to a restful pose to reconnect with your breath or challenging yourself and trying something new!

πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ What can yoga do for you?

So you've been getting my emails but you're still not quite sure that yoga is for you. Maybe you think you're not bendy or calm enough, or perhaps you don't have a yoga mat. Well, good news! πŸ€“ Mats are provided in class, you just need to wear something comfortable that you can easily move around in, and practicing yoga asana (the poses) will help to increase your flexibility!

Not only flexibility though, a regular yoga practice has sooo many benefits, including:

  • increases strength, balance & flexibility,
  • reduces stress,
  • improves sleep,
  • increases energy, focus & vitality,
  • builds connection & community.

And I still think that undersells all that yoga has to offer!

Even if my mind has been endlessly wandering during those moments of stillness, simply slowing down and β€œbeing” instead of β€œdoing” ripples out into the rest of my day. A yoga practice is not just making shapes on the mat, it can be pranayama (breath work), meditation, and living in accordance with yoga philosophy.
